Internships with Larimer County Economic and Workforce Development

The Larimer County Economic and Workforce Development works to help both businesses and workers in Larimer County get the labor and work that is needed. While most internships have been canceled until furhter notice due to Covid-19, the LCEWD is willing to help students match up to businesses that will be glad of their talents in business. 

DECA College Internships & Career Opportunities

The Distributive Education Club of America (DECA) is a highschool business competition that takes place at the district, state, and national level. While DECA is known for its high school competitions, it also provides opportunities for college students to get involved with its partners in internships. 

Junior Achievment

Junior Achievement is a program that schools can use to help teach students different aspects of business. It provides curriculum for administrators and teachers to explain parts of businesses that might not necessarily be covered otherwise, such as how to play the stockmarket and what ethics look like in business.

Young Entrepreneur Tournament

The Young Entrepreneur Tournament is a business competition for high school students under the age of 18. Students will create a business plan and present it to a panel of judges for the chance to win over $2,000. The dates for the tournament are TBA. 

High School Of Business

The High School of Business is a concurrent enrollment program at several high schools including Monarch High School, Grand Junction High School, Greeley West High School, High Tech Early College and John F. Kennedy High School. It focuses on teaching students particulars of business like leadership in business, business strategies, and wealth management.

Colorado Student Leadership Institute (COSLI)

COSLI is a month long residetial summer program where students take classes down at CU Denver and gain valuable business exprerience. Students learn all about business and marketing techniques and at the end of their residence they present on a business model they created.
